EURO RSCG hired for 7m global luxury watch account

EURO RSCG Wnek Gosper has won luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet’s 7m global advertising account.

The win follows a four-way pitch, which involved incumbent Swiss agency Bright Advertising, DDB Paris and Delaney Fletcher Bozell. Bright Advertising, previously known as Heimann Communications, had held the account for 23 years.

News of the pitch first broke in August last year and the company drew up an initial shortlist of ten agencies, later reduced to four. Advertising will focus on press and though a date for its launch has not yet been set, the work must be completed by April in time for the international watch fair in Basle, Switzerland. Pauline Bochot, Audemars Piguet marketing assistant, says: “EURO RSCG was chosen because it came up with the best advertising and because it has a good international presence.”

No decision has been made on media buying, which has been handled by Bright Advertising.
