Falmer recruits boss for international role

Falmer Jeans has appointed Tim Ormiston as international brand director after a restructure.

The shake-up has also led to the promotion of marketing manager Liz Lawley to marketing controller.

International brand director is a new position, and carries responsibility for non-UK sales and marketing. Ormiston says the role was created to ensure current marketing staff are not distracted from the core UK business as the company expands internationally.

Sales director Mark Faulkner retains responsibility for UK marketing. Lawley takes responsibility for marketing in the UK and Europe, and will report to Faulkner.

Ormiston claims: “Falmer has been so successful in the UK over the past 12 months, against the current trend, that it decided to bring in another individual to take responsibility abroad, so as not to distract the UK team.”

Ormiston was previously a consultant at the Virgin Clothing Company and handled the UK launch of fashion brand Liz Claiborne.
