Simons chases Pow! factor

TBWA Simons Palmer chief executive officer Paul Simons has been having a bit of car trouble.

He was delighted when, after an extensive search, he found his dream motor – a classic 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo.

But the problems started when he found his dream reg plate to match – 911 POW. (“I thought it was funny. You know, ‘Pow!’, like someone going very fast.”)

When he called the DVLA to register the number to his car, he ran up against a hurdle – his Porsche had been used for an insurance scam in the past.

Luckily, all has now been resolved and Simons can speed around the country even faster than if he had been driving the Nissan his agency advertises.
