Coke promotes Hall to global role

One of the most powerful women in UK marketing, Coca Cola’s Jan Hall, is on the move to the company headquarters in Atlanta.

She will take up the post of global brand director for Diet Coke and Coca-Cola Light in the strategic marketing division of the Coca-Cola Company from March 2.

Coke is to make an announcement about the successor to her post of UK marketing director of brands in due course.

Hall says: “I am very excited about the pros-pect of taking up a worldwide role and, in particular, working on Diet Coke, which is a fab ulous brand.”

Hall joined Coke from SmithKline Beecham, where she was category director for the analgesics and respiratory tract division, and she worked on brands such as Veno’s and Beecham’s.

During her nine-year stint at SB, Hall had also worked as marketing manager for Lucozade, and before that Ribena.

Bob Bayman, currently marketing manager for Diet Coke, has been appointed marketing controller grocery for Coca-Cola & Schweppes Beverages. Again, no decision has been made on the appointment of a replacement.

Peter Farquhar is moving the other way from Coca-Cola & Schweppes Beverages, to take up the new post of consumer marketing director channels at Coke. His most recent post at CCSB was trading director grocery.
