Cadbury shakes up drinks division

Cadbury Schweppes Beverages has announced a top-level shake-up in its marketing department and has promoted its two most senior UK marketers.

Robin Chatterton, marketing director responsible for Great Britain, is to take up the post of group senior marketing director in Europe from February 16.

Andrew Mann, currently marketing controller, has been promoted to Chatterton’s former position.

Mann will report to Dominic Lowe who is moving from his post of vice-president of marketing across Europe, to that of managing director of Cadbury Schweppes Beverages in Britain.

A spokeswoman for the company explained that the marketing reorganisation was to provide a greater focus and support for three international brands – Schweppes, Dr Pepper and Oasis – in the UK.

She says: “Last year in Great Britain these three brands performed incredibly well and because they are international brands they want to focus on them even more here.”

Mann was behind the successful launch of Oasis in 1995, and the UK relaunch of the Schweppes brand.

The company will publish its results in March.
