Brief

ITV weather presenter Sian Lloyd will wash car windscreens in between weather reports as part of a guerrilla marketing stunt set up by FCA! to promote Wales to London drivers. A band of promotion girls will help Lloyd and will hand out air fresheners carrying the message ‘real fresh air only two hours away’ in the four-day run-up to St David’s Day on March 1. It is part of a three-year 5m push for the Wales Tourist Board. Lloyd says: ‘Most people would know from my accent that I am Welsh and I am immensely proud of my roots.’ Last year FCA! trained London cabbies to promote the benefits of Siemens mobile phones to their passengers (MW December 11 1997).
