German market research companies Quote and Icon have formed a partnership to compete with GfK in the area of TV audience measurement.

El Corte Inglés, Spain’s leading retailer and advertiser, is to open its first department store outside the country, in Portugal. At 60,000 sq m, the Lisbon store will be second largest in Portugal.
