Fashion Cafe lures Disney chief to new marketing post
The Fashion Cafe London has poached Disneyland Paris’ head of marketing Elizabeth Harraway to become its vice president sales and marketing.
Harraway, who has been with Disney for seven years, will join the company in March in the newly-created post.
The Fashion Cafe opened in August 1996 in Coventry Street in the West End, and moved into the site of an Edwardian cinema, the Rialto, at the end of last year. The venue was refurbished and now seats 350 people with facilities for club nights, award ceremonies and concerts.
Harraway says, “The Fashion Cafe does nothing in terms of marketing at the moment and it will be up to me to fix the budget. Initially, we’re looking at advertising, specifically at outdoor in the local area and on the tube.”
Her previous boss Mark Gordon, who joined Disneyland Paris in June last year as the director of sales and marketing, is in the process of finding her replacement.
Fashion Cafe London recently appointed Tanya Nouril as head of public relations and marketing, a senior management position at the multi-purpose venue.
