IPC has appointed Paul Williams as advertisement director of the IPC Country & Leisure Group which includes the titles Horse & Hound, Country Life, The Field, Amateur Photographer and Amateur Gardening.

Channel 4 is to host a ‘coming out’ night on April 25, centering around the episode of Ellen, where the lead character comes out.

The ITC has issued a warning about the standard of text used in TV advertising in its monthly complaints report. It says the text must be legible and held on screen long enough to be read by the average viewer.

Laser Satellite & Cable has been appointed to sell the advertising and sponsorship for Blink TV, a UK supplier of big screen entertainment at concert venues. Programming includes extreme sport, fashion, animation and specialist photography, which are all cut to music.

Gruner & Jahr’s director of promotions across the Prima, Best,Your Home and Prima baby titles, Lucy Dunphey, has left the company to set up a subscriptions consultancy.

NatMags has appointed Marc Hope as ad director for Harpers & Queen. He was formerly ad director on House Beautiful and replaces Simon Leadsford who has left to join House and Garden.
