Staking future on a rare medium?

The Diary was intrigued to learn that the Periodical Publishers Association has this week been consulting the British Association of Professionals in the Paranormal (BAPP).

Had the Association embraced the Aquarian age and turned its back on traditional research? Would members be joining hands over a baize table, predicting future trends from a darkened room in Queen’s House? Had they all gone completely mad?

The meeting was apparently arranged to discuss ways of regulating ads for psychics and other paranormal service providers… Sounds like a lame explanation to us. At least it gives the PPA’s mission statement “to ensure magazines are the most successful medium” a whole new meaning.
