Faulkner in shock exit from TSMS
Rosie Faulkner, marketing and client sales director at ITV sales house TSMS, has left the company after seven months. She is not thought to have another job to go to.
Adam Rhodes, TSMS chief operating officer and Faulkner’s boss, says: “We had a discussion on Friday, six months after she joined us. We have parted by mutual consent.”
Faulkner adds: “It wasn’t working for me. The job did not play to my strengths.”
Rhodes, who worked as a management consultant and at Procter & Gamble for more than nine years before joining TSMS, will temporarily take over Faulkner’s responsibilities.
He says a replacement will be recruited for Faulkner, whose former job involved building advertiser relationships, working internally with the sales house’s airtime negotiating team and handling marketing and PR activities.
Faulkner was hired last year from TMD Carat, where she was a board director and led the Cadbury and Tambrands accounts. Prior to that she worked at CIA and Colman RSCG.
TSMS has also promoted broadcast director Jill Kerslake to group broadcast director, while Andrew Spray moves up from account director to the new post of deputy sales negotiation director.
Nick Smith, broadcast director with responsibility for Scottish and Ulster, transfers to the position of marketing controller to liaise with advertisers.
