Slush Puppie, the children’s iced drink brand has launch ed a UK Website ( aimed at its core target audience of nine to 12-year-olds. The site features a range of games and competitions aimed at the age group, plus a contact facility for retailers stocking the brand.

InterAd, the Internet ad sales house which broke away from Softbank Interactive Marketing earlier this year, has opened up an office in Lisbon to extend representation into Portugal. The sales house, which has regional offices in Barcelona, Hamburg, London, Paris and Madrid, expects to open offices in Germany and Scandinavia in the near future.

BT Broadcast Services, Easynet and European consortium Eutelsat have unveiled a pilot scheme delivering a wide range of multimedia and TV services via high-speed satellite transmission. Organisers of the Convergence1 trial, announced in London on Monday, claim the service represents Britain’s first high-speed satellite Internet and digital TV services delivered direct to the home.

Intuit, the leading personal finance software developer, is facing court action in the US over allegations that it has unfairly marketed recent versions of its Quicken software, which will be incapable of handling transactions dated beyond the end of December 1999. The US company, involved in developing a number of high-profile online personal finance sites, is expected to contest the action.
