Consultancy to push local millennium
Social marketing consultancy Good Business has been appointed to assist on the promotion of local millennium festivities.
The company will be encouraging local and national businesses to sponsor millennium celebrations across the UK.
The appointment has been made under the umbrella of the Millennium Festival, a 100m fund for developing local events.
Tim Cantle Jones, director of the Millennium Festival for the New Millennium Experience Company, says Good Business will attempt to establish links with companies to maximise the benefits of community involvement.
“Many companies are developing ways of combining marketing excellence and social concerns, so their social contributions play a central part in meeting core strategic business objectives,” he says.
“Social marketing is an excellent opportunity for the private sector to get involved and support their local communities.”
Good Business partner Giles Gibbons says: “Our work for other clients has shown social involvement is an innovative and efficient business tool, hitting a wide range of business targets in one thrust.
“It is the modern way to build brands, stand out from competitors, inspire staff, increase sales, make customers loyal and improve the overall reputation of the company,”he says.
