Hoover launches a TV campaign this week through Ogilvy & Mather for the new Hoover Quattro Easy Logic washing machine. The ad, which is endorsed by washing powder brand Ariel, plays on school language and uses images of spinning objects. It opens with a young boy looking at his schoolwork while he spins on a roundabout. The viewer is then transported to a space ship which features a series of revolving images from a washing machine drum to a spinning washing line. The ad culminates in the endline ‘Rely on Hoover to do the homework’. It will run nationally for one month in the UK.
