Ex-CLK md to head rival new product consultancy

Richard Zambuni, the former managing director of branding consultancy CLK, is to head CLK rival The Value Engineers.

Zambuni takes up the post of managing director, replacing The Value Engineers partner Graham Harding, who becomes group managing director with responsibility for new ventures. Paul Walton remains as chairman.

Zambuni moves from information technology supplier Madge Networks, where he was vice-president corporate marketing, based in Silicon Valley, California, with a $25m marketing spend.

He says: “My real reason for joining is that The Value Engineers is perfectly placed to be a fast-growing business.”

Walton says: “We have brought Zambuni into the management team to help build on the growth we’ve experienced over the last couple of years, to develop a greater international presence and to use his experience as a client in developing brands.”

Zambuni was hired by Madge Networks in 1996 (MW September, 1996). Before that he spent 14 years at CLK after beginning his career at advertising agency Ted Bates. The Value Engineers’ clients include Unilever, Shell, British Airways and SmithKline Beecham.
