JWT’s wedding march continues

Wedding bells have rung yet again at J Walter Thompson. However, the agency’s attempt to marry off its employees to useful contacts, which the Diary noted last week (MW September 3), seems to have been broken by the latest vows.

Clare Phillips, a planner at JWT, married Mark Roberts on August 28, with a reception at Blenheim Palace. Roberts is neither a marketing director, nor does he work for the Advertising Agency Register. In fact he is a humble assistant producer on Granada’s World in Action.

But don’t think you’re off the hook, all you remaining single JWT employees. Phillips didn’t have to marry into marketing’s upper crust – her dad is none other than Nick Phillips, director general of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
