MW passes 40,000-mark

Marketing Week’s circulation has passed 40,000 for the first time since 1989, according to Audit Bureau of Circulations figures just published for the year July 1997 to June 1998.

The total net 40,208 figure reached by the audit issue marks a three per cent increase on last year’s 39,069. The new benchmark has been achieved through a surge in subscriptions, which rose nine per cent from 7,860 to 8,563. This brings MW’s total paid-for circulation, including newsstand sales, to 13,153 (12,277), a rise of seven per cent.

MW’s controlled circulation (independently requested in the last year) rose two per cent to 26,368.
