Nestlé lures K-C chief

Nestlé has appointed Kimberly-Clark’s consumer marketing director for family care, David Glik, as consumer marketing director for its food division.

Nestlé has appointed Kimberly-Clark’s consumer marketing director for family care, David Glik, as consumer marketing director for its food division.

The move follows a reorganisation of the food division into consumer marketing and category development. Three general managers for ambient food, chilled food and frozen food have been assigned new roles.

John Brittain, the former general manager for chilled food, becomes director of a new sector called “food on the move”.

Dave Barlow switches from general manager for ambient food to director of category development. Tony Fleming, who was general manager for frozen food, will head the milks and creams division.

Glik, who started his career at Nestlé 12 years ago, will return to oversee marketing for a portfolio of brands including Crosse & Blackwell and the Buitoni pasta and sauce range.

The move ends his two month stint as K-C’s UK marketing director for family care, where he controlled K-C’s largest brand, Andrex.

Previously director of southern European marketing, Glik took the UK role in a reshuffle of K-C’s three European marketing directors in August. He replaced Ben Anderson, who shifted to director, northern European marketing.

Glik will report to commercial director Rob Murray, the former commercial director at Spillers, who was appointed managing director of Nestlé’s food division in August.
