Levi-Strauss has unveiled the first wave of its management restructure. Amanda Le Roux, former UK marketing director, becomes director of new business development and licensing, based in Brussels. Kenny Wilson, former franchise manager, is to be regional marketing and development director for Northern Europe (News Analysis, page 21).

Mattel has axed the role of group marketing director for the UK, formerly held by Melanie Stubbing, who left in July. New managing director Richard Sanderson will take over her responsibilities.

Charles Mackay, deputy chairman of Thistle and Gucci Group supervisory board member, is to become deputy chairman of Eurotunnel. He will succeed Sir Robert Malpas at the beginning of next year.

Tio Pepe, the First Drinks Brands’ sherry, will get a new Christmas campaign from The Morgan Partnership. Incumbent Court Burkitt has parted company with the client. Morgan is working on a project basis for the brand.

Tesco is to stock Siemens PCs in 60 stores across the UK from the end of this week.

Phillips International Auctioneers has appointed Kathleen Kuys as group marketing director. She moves from the RHM Group.

BT launches its Christmas consumer products press campaign this week with national press, Sunday supplement, women’s magazine and radio ads promoting its phones as ideal Christmas gifts.

Londis is to launch a national press advertising campaign to support the extension of its alcohol range by 100 lines in the run-up to Christmas.

Scottish Courage director of sales Richard Finch has joined Headcount Field Marketing, part of the Nasdaq-listed Healthworld Corporation, as sales and marketing director.

Salamander AG, the German shoemaker which makes Camel cigarette branded boots, has joined the German government in a legal challenge to a European ban on tobacco advertising and sponsorship, the European Court of Justice said yesterday (Tuesday).
