CSA takes on 5m Interoute

International telecoms company Interoute has handed its worldwide account to specialist agency CSA Partnership.

The appointment was made by Interoute marketing director Tom Frankfort after a five-way pitch against Team Saatchi, BBM Carlson, Dowell & Associates and Delphic Interactive.

Interoute was formed three years ago by Cable & Wireless executives. It operates telecoms networks and retail businesses for clients in 12 countries in Europe and the US. Its marketing budget is thought to be 5m.

Frankfort, former C&W head of product strategy, is drawing up Inte-route’s European marketing plans. “We chose CSA because it is a full service agency which could handle international campaigns. We need to review our corporate identity as well as implement campaigns to generate business opportunities,” he says.

CSA client services director Andy Melbourne adds: “Our brief is to create a marketing framework, corporate positioning, identity and advertising.”
