Hot Chocolate star new voice of Cadbury

Cadbury has found the perfect partner to advertise its chocolate drinks – Errol Brown, lead singer of resurgent Seventies band Hot Chocolate.

Brown, whose hit song “You Sexy Thing” featured in the box office smash The Full Monty, stars in the latest advertising campaign for Cadbury’s High Lights through Delaney Fletcher Bozell.

The ad, which breaks during Monday’s Coronation Street, features Brown singing one of his old hits “I’ll put you together again”. He brings a mug of hot chocolate to an accident-prone model after her disastrous debut on the catwalk during which she trips and sends other models flying.

Cadbury aims to emphasise its position as the premier chocolate brand over rivals which use copycat purple-coloured packaging for their drinks.

Media spend for the campaign is 2.2m and it was bought and planned by BBJ Media Services.
