Sunday Business hands 2m task to Lansdown Conquest

Sunday Business has hired Lansdown Conquest to handle its creative and strategic advertising brief.

The account, which Sunday Business claims is worth 2m, was previously held by DMB&B whose contract ended in November.

Andrew Hart, Sunday Business managing director, says: “A similar creative strategy was put forward by all the pitching agencies but Lansdown Conquest was able to go that extra mile and was able to prove to us how its creative and strategic thinking will work.”

The advertising budget will be focused in broadcast media, with an emphasis on TV.

Media buying remains with MediaCom/TMBG.

Hart has also appointed Mediator to launch a national direct mail campaign.

The Audit Bureau of Circulations recorded an average net circulation for the newspaper of 50,697 for November, an increase of more than one per cent on its first recorded ABC in October.

The newspaper has also finalised its distribution in the North-east, expanding coverage from Newcastle to include Durham, Stockton, Scarborough and Sunderland.

It now has complete coverage in England.
