BBH scoops 3m EMAP Active task

Bartle Bogle Hegarty has won the 3m account for EMAP Active, the publishing giant’s new consumer magazine division.

The account will be handled by the agency’s integrated arm, BBH Unlimited, which was brought in-house following the closure of the agency’s direct marketing operation, Limbo.

EMAP Active was formed in October 1998 from a merger of four divisions – Apex, Pursuit, Nationals and Images. It publishes a total of 54 consumer titles, which cover the country, sport, motoring and leisure sectors. They include: Max Power, Total Sport and Angling Times.

The 3m spend will be used to promote all the titles, the EMAP Active brand, and the division’s new investment magazines. It will be spread across a range of media from TV to direct mail.
