Eubank delivers a sucker punch

As anyone will confirm the charity bash is a perfect place to see people at their worst. Last week’s NABS charity boxing night bore out this truism. Former world boxing champion Chris Eubanks had just auctioned a pair of his gloves, and made his way through the assembled throng of advertising’s great and good to deliver the item. After doing so, a blonde PR girl asks Mr Eubanks for his autograph. Certainly, he says, but insists on a “cuddle” first. Blonde PR Girl looks bemused. However, still nimble, the former boxer seizes his chance and takes his prize. Whereupon he walks off without signing his name. Blonde PR Girl looks still more bemused.Clearly at least one of these characters has taken one too many blows to the head during their respective careers.
