Lamborghini licenses its brand in UK

The family that gave the world Lamborghini cars is to license its name across a range of products in the UK.

Copyright Promotions Licensing Group has won an exclusive contract to build a merchandising programme for the Tonino Lamborghini trademark in the UK. The company plans to launch a selection of leisurewear, gifts, publishing and food lines, with particular focus on luggage, men’s toiletries and accessories such as ties and cufflinks.

Tonino Lamborghini is head of the Tonino Lamborghini Group and son of the founder of the Lamborghini automobile brand, now owned by Volkswagen. Retailers and manufacturers in the UK will be able to use both the Tonino Lamborghini logo and the company’s bull emblem.

Ian Downes, head of brand development at CPLG, says: “Tonino Lamborghini is synonymous around the world with quality, excellence, high performance and style. The brand has been successfully extended in Italy and other markets in the Far East, Middle East and USA, which gives us great confidence in its suitability for licensing in the UK.”
