Patak’s hires Cannon as head of marketing

Patak’s Indian Foods has appointed Alison Cannon, a former marketing director at Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries, as its new director of marketing and sales.

Cannon joins next week from Rochdale-based Fisher Quality Foods, where she is sales and marketing director. Fisher produces sauces, dips and mayonnaise.

She replaces Phil Lynas, who left to become managing director for Nando’s grocery division in January.

Cannon was marketing director at Avonmore Dairies until August 1997 and before that held the same role at Wolverhampton & Dudley.

Patak’s, which is known for its sauces and ready meals, entered the snack sector in February with the launch of Indian Frozen Wraps. The brand comprises curry flavoured fillings in wholemeal chapatti bread.

Patak’s creative agency is Mitchell Patterson Grime Mitchell. Media buying is handled by CDP Media.
