City revellers go bananas in broccoli frolics

Lloyds TSB, Shell International, Visa and BT obviously thought they were hiring a bunch of slick new media specialists when they employed the Rufus Leonard design and communication consultancy to organise their annual staff weekend away.

What they actually got was a throng of medieval peasants, executioners, jesters and monks.

Rufus specialises in mad-cap staff weekenders: last year it was a spoof wedding complete with drunken grannies and sibling rivalry. This year it was a medieval weekend of debauchery.

Apparently, head of project management Trudy Nixon can do things with a blanket and a fistful of broccoli that would bring water to your eyes.

What a bunch of silly burghers.
