Bluewater draws top namesakes

Who would have thought the Bluewater experience – more commonly known as shopping in Kent – could attract such star-studded names?

Dennis Publishing’s lad’s magazine Maxim recently invited readers to an evening bash at Bluewater, complete with a prize draw.

Imagine Maxim’s surprise when the winner of the first prize out of the bag was a certain James Brown, who claimed a jacket from Woodhouse. To top that, the winner of the star prize, 1,000, was a certain George Graham.

Surely Brown, former editor of GQ and Loaded, was not trying to ingratiate himself with Dennis?

And why would the Spurs manager want to spend an evening out in Greenhithe, especially just before the end of the season?

But, sadly, the winners were mere namesakes. Maxim’s Bluewater posse were able to enjoy a night of shopping without references to stylish Nazis or gloating about winning the Worthington Cup.
