Osprey hooks 6.5m direct cover launch

Osprey is handling the 6.5m launch of a new direct-sell insurance company called Peoples Choice Insurance Services, developed by the team behind PremiumSearch.

Peoples Choice launches this month with TV, radio and press advertising bought through Carat Direct. It acts like a broker, linking a panel of insurers to a computer system through which they compete for each customer quote. The customer gets the lowest, most comprehensive, offer and a 48-hour money-back guarantee on approval of claims.

The founders of People’s Choice – Philip da Silva and David Pearce – were also the team behind PremiumSearch, which was sold to Norwich Union for a reputed 18m last year. Osprey’s creative director Mike Reynolds developed the ad campaign which launched PremiumSearch.

Da Silva comments: “We wanted Mike’s creative input [for Peoples Choice] and now he’s with Osprey we gain the benefits of an integrated team with imaginative planning expertise and strong direct marketing skills.”
