DoubleClick, the global Internet ad sales house, has been signed up by financial news provider Bloomberg’s new media operation, to handle sales in Spain, Japan and Australia. The sales house has also signed an agreement to sell advertising for financial news Website CBS Marketwatch (http://cbs.marketwatch.com), in 16 additional overseas territories.

The All England Tennis Club has relaunched its Website (www.wimbledon.org) in the run-up to this summer’s Wimbledon Championships. The site, launched in 1995, features a range of improved features and an enhanced Java Scoreboard that users can download to their desktop to access live scores from all courts in real-time.

Redbus (www.redbus.co.uk), the venture capital business established last year by Demon Internet founder Cliff Stanford, has launched Redbus Interhouse. The scheme offers a cut-price Web-hosting service to capitalise on the growing demand from UK businesses for third-party e-commerce facilities.

TDL InfoSpace UK (www.infospace.co.uk), which packages online content for third-party Websites, is extending its services by launching a comprehensive online weather guide for the UK. The service, which takes feeds from 200 weather centres across the UK, offers a five-day forecast and is being marketed as a “private label” service to customers.

The French Government Tourist Board has extended its online information service with the launch of new Website, Camping France (www.campingfrance.co.uk). The site, designed with new media agency Mediaworks Interactive, aims to provide information on more than 250 French campsites. Customers can check availability with up to 12 major tour operators. It is backed by a through-the-line digital marketing campaign running for four months. The main tourist board site (www.fr-holidaystore.co.uk) attracts up to 8,000 users per week.

Pangolin, the online sports news publisher, has raised $25m (£15.1m) in a second round of funding to help develop its Europe-wide publishing ventures. It aims to launch a “sportal network” of sites to cover European sport on the Internet, from grass roots to international level, and has already launched sites covering European football teams Juventus (www.juventus.it) and Paris St Germain (www.psg.fr).

Carlton Online has attracted a total of 1 million Internet users across its network of consumer-focused sites since they began rolling out at the end of last year. The network includes games site www.jamba.co.uk; film and cinema site www.popcorn.co.uk; food and drink site www.simplyfood.co.uk; and television support site www.carlton.co.uk.

FT.com co-founder and former director Tony Blin-Stoyle has been recruited as managing director for UpMyStreet.com (www.upmystreet.com), which provides in-depth information for UK locations.

Icon Medialab, the Swedish new media agency which was set up in the UK in 1997, has won a Swedish Trade Council award. It has been awarded the prize in the category of the best Swedish service company operating in the UK.
