Marks & Spencer has launched its first advertising campaign since a major review of the business found it was not talking clearly enough to its customers. The &£2m campaign, created by Elliott Borra Perlmutter, with media bought by Optimedia, is the first since the retailer’s troubles and aims to boost sales of its summer foods range with images of summer eating occasions. The ads, which include shots of a field, a picnic blanket, sunshine and M&S-branded food, will feature on bus shelters and magazines from this week. It will be backed by radio ads on local and national stations.
