Vodafone chief Webb to leave

Vodafone marketing director Mike Webb is leaving the company after six years, following a company-wide restructure.

The UK mobile phone operator is undergoing a restructure after its &£67bn takeover of US mobile company AirTouch in January.

Webb headed the Vodafone brand marketing team, which operates independently of marketing teams for Vodafone’s three service provider companies Vodafone Connect, Vodafone Retail and Vodafone Corporate.

But two months ago he was given additional responsibilities overseeing the marketing across each division.

A Vodafone spokeswoman says: “We are reviewing our structure in the light of the merger and marketing is part of that review.”
