St Ivel’s marketing director Adrian Cox has resigned following a restructuring of the business which would have seen his role diminish.
The restructure, which started in January, has resulted in the company’s chilled business being split into two divisions – potted yogurts, snacks and desserts; and spreads.
Cox, who had been with the company for five years and was responsible for spreads, juices, snacks and potted desserts, will leave the company in August after overseeing the restructure of marketing operations.
He says: “I was offered a smaller job, which wasn’t acceptable, and there wasn’t a larger role available.”
David Hall, business development controller on pots, will take on full responsibility for marketing of yogurts, desserts and soft cheese snacks after Cox’s departure.
He will report to Chris Thomas, managing director for the division and formerly operations director.
Tony Lucas, marketing controller on spreads, will also assume full responsibility for marketing of spreads including such brands as St Ivel Utterly Butterly and St Ivel Gold range. He will report to Neil Kennedy, managing director of spreads, who was previously director of food service development.
The job moves follow the departure of Brian Cardy, managing director of St Ivel’s chilled foods in the UK, revealed in Marketing Week (MW March 4).
Juices have been hived off into the dairy business owned by St Ivel holding company Unigate.
