Walsh Simmons, the e-commerce agency, has announced plans to launch a “super-portal site” based around its acquisition of 2,500 descriptive and generic domain names. The service, www.start.co.uk, will launch in January next year, and plans to feature e-commerce related services under such names as www.bargains.co.uk, www.offers.co.uk, and www.quote.co.uk. Company partner Steve Walsh says: “Because people guess that generically named Websites exist, our names are guaranteed to deliver site traffic.”
