Mintel reports appealing news

A new Mintel report bears some long-awaited good news for charities.

Donations have been on the downturn since the arrival of the National Lottery. According to Mintel, five per cent of adults have reduced donations to charity since they began purchasing National Lottery tickets.

But things will soon be looking up. Mintel believes the charity sector is showing the first signs of recovery as the National Lottery’s “dominance will wane as it matures as a product in its own right.” Any bets on how long it will take?
