Routing cheap calls is the norm

I was surprised to read that new telecoms company Talk is claiming to be the first to route calls over the cheapest network (MW September 9).

In fact, there are a number of companies in the UK which have been offering this service for several years. Telefficiency, for example, was launched in April 1996.

The explosive growth of the telecoms market has created confusion among customers seeking the best option in terms of cost and management information. Organisations are increasingly turning to third parties like Telefficiency to find the best deal on their behalf.

Competition is good for both the market and the customer and the entry of another player into the innovative and rapidly growing UK least-cost routing market is to be welcomed.
