OK! to quit Talk Radio for Capital Gold slot

Celebrity gossip magazine OK! is shifting its radio programming from Talk Radio to Capital Gold with the launch of a twice-weekly masthead radio show.

Capital Gold’s OK! On-Air show takes over from OK! to Talk on Talk Radio, which will end on November 5. The weekly two-hour show, on air since January, featured host Russ King chatting to four celebrities. The new Capital Gold show launches on November 7. The programme, which will be pre-recorded except for the live launch show, will be presented by Capital Gold’s lunchtime DJ Mick Brown.

The content, provided by the magazine, will include show business gossip and interviews with stars.

OK! On-Air will be broadcast on Sundays at midday until 2pm and with an updated version on Thursdays between 8pm and 10pm. It is contracted to run for one year.

Capital Radio has formed a partnership with Sky Digital for the satellite TV station’s subscribers to receive nationwide broadcasts of Capital Gold and Xfm.
