Saatchi rejig on the cards if FA lures chief

Saatchi & Saatchi is poised for a top-level shake-up if joint chief executive Adam Crozier takes on the chief executive role at the Football Association.

Saatchi & Saatchi is poised for a top-level shake-up if joint chief executive Adam Crozier takes on the chief executive role at the Football Association.

Crozier, who has been working with the FA in its bid to bring the 2006 World Cup to England, has been widely reported to be the association’s first choice.

Insiders have tipped joint chief executive Tamara Ingram to take over from Crozier, but she refused to comment.

Saatchi split the chief executive role in January 1995 and handed Crozier, then media director, and Ingram, a group director on the account side, the joint post.

No one at the agency was available for comment as Marketing Week went to press.

The FA has been looking for a chief executive since January, when Graham Kelly resigned following a scandal involving a loan to the Welsh FA.

Since then, former BBC journalist David Davies has been caretaking the role.
