Ford to launch a dramatic global advertising campaign

Ford Motor Company is to launch a dramatic global advertising campaign through J Walter Thompson Detroit to showcase all seven of its car brands: Ford, Mazda, Jaguar, Volvo, Lincoln, Mercury and Aston Martin.

Shot in nine countries, the one-off two-minute ad will be shown on Monday at 9pm and run simultaneously across Europe. In the UK, it will appear on ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, and on satellite channels. Backed by 13-year-old soprano Charlotte Church singing the Ford global anthem

“Just wave hello”, the ad features people from different cultures with their vehicles. The campaign coincides with moves by Ford to stamp out racism at its Dagenham plant.
