Crisis launches new ad campaign

Crisis, the charity which fights homelessness, is launching a hard-hitting national TV advertising campaign through creative group Other. The 40-second commercial ‘Blue Christmas’ highlights the fact that many people in the UK would rather help an animal than another person. The ad, to be supported by a fundraising and awareness drive, will spearhead the charity’s Christmas appeal. Crisis marketing director Neil Churchill says: ‘This film illustrates the strange truth that stray dogs can pull more strongly on people’s heartstrings than the plight of someone sleeping rough on the streets.’ Media for the campaign, which breaks this week, was bought in-house by Crisis.
