Bacardi Martini has unveiled a £6m TV campaign through HHCL & Partners for schnapps drink Metz. The campaign takes the ‘judder’ concept used in previous ads a stage further by introducing the Judderman. Shot in Budapest, Hungary, in the style of an early gothic film, it features the Judderman luring unsuspecting travellers with bottles of Metz into their first ‘judder’. Bacardi Martini marketing director Maurice Doyle says: ‘Metz has come up with very strong creative work in the Judderman campaign. We expect both consumers and the trade to react positively to it. This is a big year for Metz. The above-the-line work should provide a strong platform for all brand communication, and on- and off-trade activity.’ Westbay, which distributes Metz and Bacardi in the UK, is changing its name to Bacardi Martini.
