Boo.com, the Web fashion retailer, is facing competition from start-up Haburi.com, which hopes to become “the first to market designer goods in a factory setting”. This will include 24-hour access and prices up to 35 per cent below those of the high street. Haburi has just secured £4.5m in a new round of financing. It plans to offer its service throughout Europe by the end of this year, adding Asia and the US by the end of 2001.
