Yanks can realise a humorous side – with training

A member of Sega Europe’s marketing team was witness to the fact that Americans in London do have a sense of humour.

The anonymous marketer was recently in a Kensington gym training two new recruits for their roles as Arsenal’s mascot Sonic the Hedgehog.

While the recruits happily practised running, turning and posing in the huge costume – it’s called “characterisation training” apparently – who should walk into the gym and get on the running machine?

Madonna, complete with dark glasses.

An American guy, who had been busy pumping iron, bellows: “Oh my God, wait until I tell the guys back home I was training in the same gym as…Sonic the Hedgehog”.
