Why Visa Card has right idea
So Visa International is locking out its rivals from this summer’s Olympic Games? (MW April 20).
How times have changed. What a shock it was to discover that while people are in the Olympic stadium they will have to pay for things in cash.
Now I may be showing my age a little, but I recall a time – not so long ago – when there were no such things as cashpoints. How did we ever survive?
In any case, dare to imagine what the queues would be like during the hop-skip-and-a-jump? I suggest Visa’s move will at least reduce the number of people you’ll have to hurdle over in the 100-metre dash for cash (and a couple of doughnuts).
