Broadband TV is already here

It is disappointing that Paul Longhurst writes in the future tense about broadband access by television. It is already here, delivered down the telephone line through ADSL by Hull-based Kingston Interactive Television.

Launched in January, we offer 55 digital television channels, video on demand, Internet and e-mail, growing online shopping and a localised information service. BSkyB is now a joint partner. We too are not charging for the set-top box, which also has a browser.

Technology is running ahead and the set-top box will change later this year. We are ahead of the game – Paul Longhurst should pay us a visit.
