Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO has created an £11m TV advertising campaign which aims to change the way people use the Yellow Pages telephone directory, by showing it is not only used for emergencies.
The ‘Fuzzy Logic’ ad is aimed at a younger audience than Yellow Pages’ previous advertising, such as the JR Hartley execution. It was directed by pop video pair Dom Hawley and Nic Goffrey. AMV.BBDO art director Walter Campbell – one of the creators of the Guinness ‘Surfers’ ad – also worked on the ad. The campaign will be shown on ITV and Channel 4 throughout the year from June 1. It features a husband satisfying his wife’s desire for a night out by ordering a DJ and mobile disco to come and play in their front room.
