EMAP selects two heads of marketing

EMAP has appointed marketing directors for its new automotive network and EMAP Active division.

EMAP Active brand director Vicky Gillan becomes marketing director following the departure of group marketing director Andrew Gillespie last month. He left to join a London-based Internet company.

Gillan has worked for EMAP for eight years in a series of publishing and marketing roles.

A spokeswoman for the company says: “She will focus on driving EMAP Active forward and developing networks of the future, with the senior team.”

Her appointment follows a series of changes at the EMAP division, which houses special interest titles such as PlayStation Plus and Horse.

EMAP Active marketing development director Paul Sloggett was moved in March to the EMAP Esprit Network to become its marketing director.

The health network is one of four recently created by EMAP, the others being EMAPAutomotive, EMAP Elan and EMAP Performance.

Ann Crockett-McLean – who joined Automotive Network three months ago from Pedigree Masterfoods petcare division, where she was group marketing manager with responsibility for the dog care portfolio – has been named as marketing director.

She will report directly to Malcolm Gough, chief executive of the network.
