Bold celebs see benefit of winking

Ever winked for a good cause? Or was it only when you spotted the long-legged lass next door or a hunk walking along the road?

Celebrities are being “dared” to wink live on national TV. When they do, &£1,000 will be donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation by leading eye care experts Allergan. The company has also launched a National Bring Back Winking Campaign and will contribute a penny to the Foundation for every bottle of Refresh eye drops sold.

So Diary readers, this surely is a chance for you to get back to the good old days, since the campaign goes on until August 31.
