JC Decaux establishes global sales company

Outdoor advertising company JC Decaux has created a new international sales company to enable clients to buy its outdoor products in 33 countries.

JC Decaux UK group sales director Xavier Dupré is to head the new company, called JC Decaux One Stop Shop, as managing director.

Spencer Berwin, joint UK group sales director, will take sole charge of the 50-strong UK sales team.

Dupré, who will be based in the UK, will report to new JC Decaux chief executive for Northern Europe Jeremy Male, who was lured from rival TDI last week (MW last week).

Male has taken over from Jean-Francois Decaux, who will concentrate on the company’s international development and oversee its float on the French stock exchange later this year.

Dupré says: “The new company will initially have a team of three, but we will increase this number quickly”.

JC Decaux has also created JC Decaux Worldlink, an international marketing and research company. JC Decaux international marketing and research director Neil Eddleston has been appointed as managing director.

The French-owned company says it has created the new divisions to service its growing international client base. The company claims it will allow its clients to plan and buy JC Decaux’s outdoor products in 33 countries.
