Huet lands £5m Coldseal ad business

Coldseal, the replacement window, doors and conservatories company, has appointed Huet & Company to handle its &£5m advertising account.

The appointment comes a year and a half after Coldseal took its advertising in house. It previously used Team Saatchi and Zenith Media.

CIA Media Solutions has been appointed to handle the media planning and buying.

Manchester-based Huet & Company was appointed to the account without a pitch, after approaching the newly-installed head of marketing, Stephen Wilson with an integrated research-based strategy for TV, radio and below-the-line advertising.

Wilson says the appointment marks a new approach for Coldseal: “Double-glazing has the image of being an untrustworthy business like second-hand cars.

“It is very important for us to get across the fact that Coldseal is trustworthy and we will be making sure all parts of our company are abso-lutely A1 to reflect that.”

Huet & Company business development director Kate Huet says: “Our approach will be to integrate above- and below-the-line to reposition the brand in a very competitive and mature market.”

Huet & Company is creating new TV ads which will air from September 6, together with a complementary radio campaign breaking on September 4.

The agency is known for its direct response work for home products clients, which range from Harlequin fabrics, and a wall coverings company to building suppliers.
